neotares designs a modern working environment for 1822direkt

neotares was commissioned in May 2023 to conceptualize and design the new space. Prior to this, 1822direkt joined forces with Colliers International to search for new office space, finding it in the immediate vicinity of the previous location.

After the location was decided, neotares developed a progressive space concept in close consultation with management and through an extensive participatory process with individual departments. The concept considers functional requirements and evolving work patterns, particularly flexible workplace models like desk sharing.

The existing space was completely redesigned according to neotares’s planning specifications. The focus was on improving the space's quality, creating an open and modern design, and establishing attractive meeting areas. The result is a modern, compact workspace with short distances, spacious social and recreation areas, and contemporary meeting rooms.

“A central design element is the clear zoning of the floor plan into four quadrants, which provide orientation through a coordinated color scheme. The WorkCafé, with its neutral color scheme, functions as the social hub of the new workspace and is a place for meetings and informal exchanges. Glass partitions from feco and a modern lighting concept from XAL ensure transparency and light. The combination of high-quality hard and soft flooring from Interface completes the new work environment," explains Tibor Hoffmann, the project manager at neotares.
