Schürfeld Group Positions Itself for the Future

The Schürfeld Group, a mid-sized business with Hanseatic roots, is gearing up for the future.

After over eighty years at Mönckebergstraße 31 in Hamburg, the company recentlymoved into its new, contemporary space at Domstraße 18, aligning with its own guiding principles of traditional values and innovative direction.

With the office’s revamp, the company is also taking strategic steps in a new direction: the era of traditional single offices with fixed desks is over. Instead, team members now find themselves in a fresh, modern open-space work environment with a Clean Desk Policy and transparent wall systems.

Such a radical shift requires one key element above all: the involvement of the staff. In tackling this task, the Schürfeld Group is receiving guidance from New Work experts at the consulting firm neotares. In various workshops, employees were able to get to know new technologies and room-in-room systems and experience the innovative furnishings at first hand. They were also allowed to contribute their own desires to the plans. Thus, an open space was included as a place for ad-hoc encounters, exchange and an informal meeting point.
